This F connector is manufactured for use on plenum rated (CMP) RG6 coaxial cables often used in high rise office or larger commercial cable TV installations. The use of plenum rated cables are very common when installing cables in open air-flow plenum ceilings. These cables are specially treated for fire purposes to slow burn and not allow harmful fumes to be delivered throughout the air flow system.
