18/4SHP - 18 Gauge 4 Conductor Stranded Shielded Plenum Cable, 1000ft

The 18/4SHP is an 18-4 shielded plenum cable designed for a wide variety of low power and signal applications.  It features (4) 18 gauge conductors that are constructed with stranded solid bare copper.  This 18-4 shielded plenum cable features a white plenum rated (CMP) jacket, rip cord, drain wire, and an over-all foil shielding.  The over-all foil shielding on this cable ensures its signals are always protected from possible outside interference.

The 18-4 shielded plenum cable is ideal for access control, remote control, signaling, security systems, communications, intercom/PA systems, sound/audio, and nurse call installations in newer high rise commercial buildings.

The plenum rating (CMP) on this cable means that the jacket is made with a special compound that will stop dangerous toxins from entering the air circulation system in the case of a fire and the cable is burned. The plenum rated jacket will also cause the cable to burn slowly.
